Hi! I’m Katelyn, the owner and creator behind KT Backwoods Designs, a small Wisconsin business built around creativity, the outdoors, and the people and animals who mean the most to me.
How It Started
A big part of the inspiration behind KT Backwoods Designs came from my boyfriend, Jared. He introduced me to fishing, and seeing his passion for fishing and the outdoors opened up a whole new world for me. There’s something incredibly exciting about watching someone you love light up over the things they’re passionate about. Over time, his love for fishing helped me develop a love and appreciation for it too. From being on the water and spending time outdoors to learning more about the fish, wildlife, and lifestyle that come with it, those experiences became a huge inspiration for my designs.
What started with fishing grew into inspiration from hunting, camping, wildlife, dogs, family, and the beautiful changing seasons here in Wisconsin.
Meet Diva 🐾
Another very special part of KT Backwoods Designs is my German Shepherd, Diva.
Diva is more than my dog—she’s my sidekick, family, and one of the inspirations behind my brand. My love for her helped inspire many of my dog and German Shepherd designs, and she’s become a little part of the personality of KT Backwoods Designs.
Anyone who loves dogs knows they’re never just pets. They’re there for the everyday moments, the adventures, the good days and the hard ones. Diva holds a very special place in my heart, so it only felt right to bring some of that love into my business.
Made by Me, for You
Every piece of KT Backwoods Designs apparel is made to order and pressed by me. I don’t want this to feel like mass-produced apparel. I want customers to receive something that was created and made with genuine care.
My collections are inspired by real parts of my life and the things I love—fishing, hunting, camping, wildlife, dogs, family, and Wisconsin’s seasons.
